About School Meals and Child Nutrition
Many children in rural communities around Bwindi walk long distances to school and often arrive hungry. The School Meals & Child Nutrition initiative helps provide healthy meals that support children's growth and concentration throughout the school day.
Education at Heart 2 Heart goes hand-in-hand with community development. Children and their families are introduced to sustainable practices, environmental stewardship, and the value of local livelihoods like coffee farming — helping them build a future that balances knowledge, well-being, and harmony with nature.
By ensuring students receive proper nutrition, the program improves school attendance, learning outcomes, and overall well-being. Families also feel encouraged to keep their children in school when they know their basic needs are being supported.
Healthy children are better able to learn, grow, and become future leaders who care for their communities and the environment around them.

Help ensure that children can learn without hunger. Donations can support daily meals, kitchen supplies, and improved nutrition programs at local schools. By supporting this initiative, you help children stay healthy, focused, and motivated to continue their education.
